Lieuwen Sisters | Portraits

This weekend was a beautiful thing. With these beautiful women in different places of their lives, working and school, and in four seperate cities across two provinces, when they all come togethers, it is kind of a big deal.

Laughter and fun seems to. These girls are goofy and fun and SUCH a joy to be around! Thank you SO much for letting me capture you ladies!

Have an amazing long weekend!

Starfish & Low Tides – Saturna Island

The Ocean is my favourite place to be in the entire world. The sound of the waves, the salty smell, the gentle breeze, and millions of things to see! My Dad helped my uncle build a cabin Saturna island over 10 years ago, now that it’s for sale, I really felt that during this last visit I had to soak everything in.

I woke up one morning and everyone was gone, so I took my camera out for a walk to the most eastern point of the island, praying that God would open my eyes to new things, and He totally did. It was one the lowest tides I’ve ever seen, and the sea life was amazing. Massive barnacles, and crazy patterns on the sandstone with sealife. I’ve seen plenty of starfish that they are hard to impress me anymore, but I saw more that I’ve probably ever seen before. I couldn’t turn any direction without seeing a crevice filled with countless starfish.

Heres a small glimpse of my experience that day with God’s faithfulness and beauty.

Happy Sunday. : )

Who is this King of Glory?

The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.

Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?

The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol    or swear by a false god.

They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Savior.

Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.

Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty— He is the King of glory.

Psalm 24.

Bliss in snow. Mount Baker.

Ok, I’ll admit it. Physical activity doesn’t really appeal to me all that much, but skiing is one thing I will never pass up! There’s nothing quite like the squeak of fresh snow packing underneath your skis.

Today was the most magical of all ski days. There was a beautiful layer of fresh snow, the sun came out, and there was no wind, no rain. no falling snow and no fog to obstruct your view. Just pure, beautiful glory!

This photo, though I took last New Years Day at Mount Baker, was the rare unpolluted view skiers and snowboarders saw today at Mount Baker. Heavenly? I think so.  It’s hard to deny God when His glory shines so evidently around you!

Happy New Year!
