I met Rachel and Stephen through church functions. Rachel and I co-led a grade 12 girls small group through our church’s youth program, we did Aerial silks together, and Rachel did the most amazing job on my hair when I decided to add a blonde ombre to my virgin naturally strawberry blonde curls. They are the SWEETEST couple, such an amazing team so, needless to say, I was thrilled when Rachel and Stephen asked me to photograph their last days as a family of 2. Can’t wait to meet this little boy!
Darcie and Cooper got Married!!
It was a wonderful day and beautifully personalized wedding. Darcie and Cooper poured their heart, and soul into the decor and schedule for their big day.
As I mentioned in their engagement session post, I knew Cooper and Darcie Before they booked me for their wedding, Darcie better than Cooper. Darcie has always been incredibly intentional. She invests in people well, in her friends, and that was evident in the structure of their wedding day. Neither Darcie nor Cooper are from Abbotsford (Darcie from Boston Bar and Cooper from Saskatchewan) and they spent so much intentional time with their guests and people who came to celebrate this big step with them. It was beautiful to watch and be a part of.
The passage that they picked for their included Ecclesiastes 4:12. “And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.” And that is my prayer for them. That they would be continually woven with Christ an intentional part of their marriage and growth together for many many years to come!
Meet Darcie and Cooper.
I met Darcie when my younger sister took her home. She is wild, beautiful and so free in who she is, and it’s wonderful! It’s no wonder Cooper pursued her. And kept pursuing her after she said no. And it finally paid off when Darcie finally said yes after much persistence #nocansometimesturnintoyes. A little bit of encouragement to some of the persistent men out there.
I’ve had the privilege of photographing his family on many occasions, including both of his older sisters prom days, and a family session. and soon to be, his sister’s wedding (!!!) and seeing Dawson in this environment was different. Good different. He’s the kind of guy who is genuine, friendly and hardworking. He’s the type of guy who sets his mind to something and gets it done. He is also a very gifted Gymnast! And I could not let him leave until we incorporated that in his session!
Congradulations on your highschool graduation, Dawson! I have no doubt that you will go places!

This girl mean so much to me. I had the privilege of being her youth leader, back in the day, so I was THRILLED to be asked to photograph her on her prom day. Such a joy to watch her have grown up *insert water works*. Over three years ago we did a little photoshoot together. Check it out Here.
Anyway. Here are some shots of out time together. Let me know which one if your favourite!
